Dream, the third of The Endless, you are in charge
of the Dreaming, all imagination and
creativity, everyone knows your beautiful
realm, but none truly understand it. You are
dark and brooding, creative, and spend a lot of
time by yourself, just thinking. You are almost
as serious as Destiny, but not quite. Everyone
is enchanted by you, but you keep them all at a
distance, even when you shouldn't.
Which Endless are you?
brought to you by Quizilla
haha yay i can live with that. like... woaahhhhhh.... im an enigma and all that... heh. hmmmm.... mayb i shld start painting my face white like him.
excerpt from sandman-
"What power have dreams in Hell?" asked Lucifer, his leathery wings spreading out in a flourish.
"You say that Dreams have no power here?" Dream's pale face registered no sign nor fear. Dark eyes flashed, glorious stars burning within those whirlpools of wonder. "Tell me, Lucifer Morningstar - ask yourselves all of you - what power would Hell have if its inhabitants could not dream of Heaven?"
thats me baby! jus some thrash talkin' wit Mr. S.A. Tan. heh (yeah, we're acquainted. loosely related, in fact)
(p.s : now you know why sandman is such a great comic! not the usual hit-em-up big-boobed women insanely-toned men kinda nonsense you get in superman)
(p.s.s : and for that matter, smallville, which in my opinion sucks, and kristen kreuk is just butt ugly she looks like she has mumps.)
(p.s.s.s.t : its devon aoki's birthday today! happy birthday gorgeous!)

CENTRO WAS EXE-fuckin'-LENT!!! its like........ whooooo baby!!!!!
I thought the warm up Dj was good, then the x-prodigy Dj came up and it was just explosive! The first track he spun droned -"this is what your waiting for... this is what your waiting for..." and god damn, was it worth the wait! With a unique blend of house/drumbass, its pure sonique mayhem! And when he played firestarter? the wholeeee fuckin dance floor went berzerk! The music reallly gets to you and your heart thumps to its beat. only downside though was the crowd. the dance floor was kinda packed and there was some ang-moh creep who was reallly pushy wit noelle n serene. Do you girls ALWAYS go through this? he was like running his hand down their backs and jus bein a total creep. ugh.
heh also had a flamin lambo (thanks you!). heh. added a nice high to compliment the music. But one thing tho... booze just doesn't do it for me. I'm either sober or i've had too much, hardly getting the nice in-between buzz... oh well. No matter there are many other vices to indulge in and right now, music gets me high! music rocks my worldd!
pity james couldn't come in though cuz he had babysitting duties... hope you had fun at madame wongs boy. and to the rest of you peeps who made a no show? you really missed out man. hmmm. but i saw frankie and that was kinda nice havent seen that guy since he left for poly... didnt get to talk to him much tho. take care ya frank? i knoe you'll make new frens in poly but that don't mean you can forget us either!
Sigh. So i wake up this morning, and my pulse is pumping to the beat of "smack my bitch up", but sadly, my night of revelry is over and tis time to hit the cursed books again. no matter. :) now i've got somethin to look forward to in my post-A lifestyle... gonna become a student of zouk/centro! haha
in other news... dilemma baby. dilemma. feels ok but what to do what to do. how how how? can you tell me how? bah.

Master of Puppets
Do you believe in fate?
Case in point: For those not in the know, well, I lost my phone sometime back. So I've been considering what phone I should get as a replacement. Whittling down my options, I was left with two choices- the Sony-Ericsson T610, or the Samsung S-300. For too long I've been staring at the butt-ugly screen of my brothers 6250, so I had to reach a decision soon.
(*Cue Dad's car rolling into driveway)
Dad: (booming) Lennard! Come here!
Of course, at this point, I started reviewing recent history... Hmmm. I've been studying... nope, no indication from any teacher of any displeasure.... my room's... in decent state. What could I have done? oh no oh no oh no!
Well, turns out he had a 50% off voucher for the Sony-Ericsson. heh.

Was browsing through amazon.com when I came across this book- 45 Master Characters: Mythic Models for Creating Original Characters . Irony sunk in yet? All the great characters- stoic Brutus, manipulative Roger 'Verbal' Kint, rogue-ish Han Solo, Batman, Hannibal Letcher (and the list goes on), can all be distilled into a combination 45 defining characteristics. Not so great after all huh?
So it got me thinking... Its all been done. And really, it has, hasn't it? Think about it. The Incredible Hulk? Ain't that a modern day re-hash of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde? Even more blatant- the re-make of so many classics. Italian Job, Dr. Dolittle, Planet of the Apes, Ocean's Eleven...
Its almost formulaic. Everything fits so snugly into genres. At best, the names are changed, the dialoged slanged to the contemporary zeitgeist(!!). Kinda kills the idea of 'art and creativity' as a whole doesn't it? Almost makes life seem dull and repetitive. I think weims has an entry on this too. Granted, there are the rare gems that bloom in this dismal garden, but hardly ever enough.
bah. Makes me question why I even bother.

Its really quite worrying when during econ's lecture, Reeve's says something profound and the whole LT goes silent in deep contemplation, while I on the other hand am dumbfounded.
Also got 1 mark for some compre application qns! 1 mark! yikes. I've never been this horrified. I'm just glad it was only a practice assignment.

I can't take it anymore! I want... nay... need a lomo! Ever since the fateful day when I dropped my beloved pentax, cracking it, I've lacked a small point-n-shoot camera that satisfies me, and I think the lomo can do just that. Just look at the photos it takes! Orgasmic! I will plan a budget so I can afford it by the time the A's are over.
Worse come to worse, I'll just whore myself out for the cash. Any takers? haha

The coffee machine doesn't give me enough respect.
Everytime I attempt to brew myself a cuppa, I strictly adhere to the instructions left to me by the manufacturers, namely,
1) Fill the Filter Thing-a-majig with ground beans
2) Compress the ground beans in with the (for lack of a better word) Presser
3) Slide the Filter Thing-a-majig into the Brewer-Spout, making sure its a tight fit
4) Turn on the machine and let the coffee flowww
Unfortunately, for me, things start to break down at step 4. So its like this- the machine is all prepped and ready. Flipping on the switch, it emits a re-assuring buzzz, telling me its working fine. But but but! A-ha! Here's where it gets cheeky! The coffee doesn't come out! It clogs up in the Filter Thing-a-majig! From past experience, attempting to remedy this by opening up the filter will result in a shower of hot hot hot coffee.
So what am I to do? If I leave it running, I fear the pressure may build up and the machine will explode. So now, upon turning the machine on, I duck and take cover under the counter-top and wait for a bit. If coffee refuses to be coaxed from the machine, I reluctanly switch off the machine and call the maid. With her mida's touch, (I swear! She just touches the machine!) and with the awe of Moses parting the Red-sea, coffee flows!
Today, I told her- "Chalimah, next time you go to the super-market, please buy instant coffee? Thanks."

The Great Child and the Dire Mother
What sign of the Black Zodiac are you?
brought to you by Quizilla
how apt. "the dire mother and the great child." 'both of you died within your own quarters'. david said... sometimes, what we fear and hate the most, is what we will become. the more i fight it the more it embraces me. what am i to do? i am at a loss. smothered/cornered.
-come as you are.
woahh. Just watched The Usual Suspects. My 2 cents? 2 thumbs up, and thats only because I have 2. Anymore and it'd be up at attention too. Really really excellent flick.
I have to say... Kevin Spacey's performance was beyond top-notch. Absolutely believable till the final twist, which I'm not revealing because you all GOTTA watch it!
Its a '95 film so search for it online and download it. You won't regret it. An intelligent film that keeps one's attention throughout and very very smooth dialogue. No no don't mistake me its not Ocean's Eleven smooth-as-a-con kind of style. In fact somehow the mood of the film, accompanied by an orchastrated soundtrack, brings more to mind atmospheric films like batman.
But again I stress... its REALLY good, and the the final 1 minute makes it just explosive, when all your previous conceptions on the flow of events are blown apart, torn down and re-animated. YOU HAVE TO HAVE TO WATCH IT!
The director (or writer, my memory fails me, as usual), calls it not a maze of clues, but a maze of lies.
Verbal: The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist. That's Kevin Spacey's character talking. come on. innit jus cool cool cool?

Hell, im surprised *censored* having to tolerate her. i swear listening to *censored* would be more educational than -beep- garble.

an excerpt-
So beguile in anything alfresco and unrequited loves (in our youth); etch your superfluous elegies and bittersweet goodbyes on old oak trees; read poetry by twilight and a beach- in the ides of your life should you choose nostalgia over praticality, you would be doing so with a smile on your face.
(to the author- no one could've said it better)
how true indeed.

The world is a beautiful place. We just gotta see it.
I'm a comet and nothing's stopping me. I'll burn high, burn bright and you will be awe-struck. I'm a firecracker waiting to explode and trust me it will be hard to miss the ensueing pandemonium. If you want to find me, look to the North Star because it is a reflection of my brilliance. Soon I will be free of my shackles and you'll see me rise up like a Phoenix to claim the glory that I know is waiting for me. Nothing's getting in my way baby. grin. Nothing at all.
(I wonder if this is how Jesus felt.)
