School Of Rock... ROCKS.

"God of Rock, thank you for this chance to kick ass. We are your humble servants. Please give us the power to blow people's minds with our high voltage rock. In your name we pray, Amen."
i don't get it. or maybe i do. but i don't really wanna get it. as in... i think i kinda know why, but how can it be? its a hard pill to swallow.

50000 Feared Dead in Iran Quake. contrast with Calif. Boy Still Missing After Mudslides.

now... who gives a flying fuck about the calif boy?! i mean i do la, but not to the extent as what i feel for the Iranians. why not do individual stories for the Iranians? how about some perspective, huh?
16 jan. its like an expiration date on a milk carton. its there, but usually you ignore it. then the date draws near, and you start getting jittery.

the crux is the new year, where i cannot hide behind sweet & wet december and stinking wet january comes raring into my face (like the tide) waiting for no man.

oh woe oh joy oh fuck...

i have been clicking away with my phone cam for some time, and with my wonderful mac and sony ericsson, i used bluetooth to transfer the pics to my com, then again with mac programs to compile it into a 'gallery' of sorts, because normal album sites piss me off when i have to slowly add my photos.

enjoy.

perusing the soap section of the supermarket, i am surprised to find many 'body cleansers' which claim to be "100% Soap Free!". I am very confused... isnt soap what you want? and then there's moisture restoring kinds, skin pH balanced ones, refreshing varieties and a whole plethora of other variants of these 'body cleansers' (i.e. Soap-Free Soap). why cant they all just put in into one product and save me the headache of choosing?

p.s. i settled for a skin pH balanced soap, that is of course, soap-free and dermatologically tested.

Floorfilla @ Sultan Of Swing yesterday night, and now i am a sick pig, so scratch what i said in the previous post. but anyhow, it was, as one would expect, a mainly chinese fest of the ah beng kind and the only few malays i sighted probably wandered in thinking that 'Sultan' was in some way associated with their monarch.

as of late, i've been plagued by a deep, hacking cough that resonates and shakes the deepest avioli of my lungs. it started of innocently enought, like an end-of-year flu, and was (to my sneaking suspicion), aggrevated by my smoking of filterless cigarettes which i lovingly rolled myself. anyway. that is not the point.

the point, of course, is the cure.

its been a long ardous task of finding the magic elixir to cure me, with alot of hits and misses. one medicine, made me break out in a very very irritating itch. air con, dust and cigarette smoke irritates my cough to no end. but, alcohol (of the soft kind, i.e beer, wine, cocktails etc), thus far, seems to be the magic potion. i stipulate that it is the alcohol in it that calms and soothes my throat. so here i am now, sitting in my room, reading a book and nursing a pint of beer as it in returns nurses me, and i think to myself, is this a reason, or more so an excuse, for drinking?

Somehow, it doesn't really feel like christmas. When I was younger, i was bursting with anticipation for christmas. Thru november, the kids channel would blast toy commercials about Nerf this, Nickelodeon that and TMNT bla bla. Lets not forget the all important Cartoon Christmas Specials! Those were always something to look forward to.

Now I'm 18, theres no toy commercials to remind me what to look forward to. Orchard christmas decorations now more or less just piss me off, cause it makes me feel like im in some faux glam place. not to mention that army's in abut 3 weeks. So christmas came and went with little fanfare. After 18 years, christmas jingles get kinda irritating, like those Nano-Nano sweet or toys 'r' us commercial jingles.

maybe what we need for the mood... is snow. but im thinking. past the initial few years, that'd just piss me off too. cause my dads too old, and my brothers too fat, so i'll be the one shovelling the snow. hmm. but then there is the option of winter wear! a whole new wardobe!and misty breath. and the thought of a walking around on a snowy morning with a steaming cup of coffee. how appealing.

kaveh's house today was lively as a firecracker with people bustling here and there tho i didn't really know anyone so i sat there nursing my beers and talking to the few i did know. but it was fun.

tomorrow im leaving on a cruise so bye all and i'll be back this wed.

its always been a fantasy of mine to be a rockstar (isnt it yours too?). but i am musically illiterate. and have the voice of a toad. so there goes my dashed dreams.

and so for the second time this week my large person and brought the demise of yet another pair of headphones. as i fee-fi-fo-fum my way around my room, kerraccckkk 'whats that?' and as i look down, shit, there lies the poor broken lifeless body of a headphone, never again to sing.

im reading this book now that is kinda about WW2, amongst other things, and this part really tickled me-

'... The Japanese Navy is a different story- they know what they are doing. They have yamamoto. they have torpedoes that actually explode when they strike theis targets, in stark contrast to the American models which do nothing but scratch the paint of the Japanese ships and then sink apologetically...'

*thus far

It went down like this. 5 guys on an adventure. So it was me, isaac, tzi, frodo and lum. We met at bugis MRT at 6. (ok, so i got there at like.. 6.45) Our mission? To try 'sheeshah', i.e. Arabian Water Pipe. Its mother shiok! (for those interested, its along arab street. you cant miss it.) We had dinner there and that was excellent too, but the real fun started when our pipes came. We ordered two 'flavours' of smoke- apple and grape. yes. They looked like dildos. and we took to them initially like a girl giving her virgin blowjob, but soon, as we acquired a taste for the smoke, we were huffing and puffing away. Now heres the shocker. EVEN LUM SMOKED! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAh

tzi-'eh lum. try la! don't be a gay!'
lum-'dowan dowan dowan... i dont smoke!'
tzi-'okok, eh guys lets see who can blow the most smoke in one breath!'
lum-'FUCK I SHOW ALL OF YOU!' *

*has been condensed

then bla bla bla fast forward to 4.45am and i am watching LORD OF THE RINGS!

macham WARCRAFT one! like the bad guys are the ORCs and UNDEAD vs. the HUMANS and the ELVES. lets analyse-
Gandalf - Mage Hero
Aragon - Warrior Hero
and bla bla bla. lazy la. so here are some pics of the sheesah night.
some of the lines are also so damn corney it makes me cringe. but on the whole, a bloody good movie. A Star Wars for our generation. I'd say more, cept i dont wanna spoil it for the rest of you.

p.s. Frodo gets bloody irritating in this 3rd installment. if you agree leave a comment. like some bloody ah kua faggot.

for those of you in the dark, Saddam has been captured. the guy now sports a full bushy beard. slap on a red suit and tada its father christmas.

i've an earlier post on this, but i'll say it again.

A conversation between two people, of which one ran during the war instead of serving his country.

He lit the lamp again. As he straightened up from adjustig the wick, he stared at me.
'You are not ashamed to be the guest of a traitor to his country.'
'I don't think you were a traitor to the human race.'
We moved towards his bedroom windows.
'The human race is unimportant. It is the self that must not be betrayed.'
'I suppose one could say that Hitler didn't betray his self.'
He turned.
'You are right. He did not. But millions of Germans did betray their selves. That was the tradgedy. Not that one man had the courage to be evil. But that millions had not the courage to be good.'

aw man! i cannot wait for my mac!!! hell, i need a com in my room! rarrg. is saturday considered a working day? if so then it might come on thursday then. however, since i ordered the mac on a thursday night, would that be considered a working day? so at the very worse... discounting thursday, the day i bought it, and taking saturday as a non-working day... that means i have to wait till monday!

THE SUSPENSE!

i need programs for my com when it comes. and what of all these shareware programs for download off the web? are there any crackers/serial generators for them? cause im sure as hell not gonna pay!

help me! should i get an eMac, or a BenQ Joybook?? One is a desktop (emac) and one is a notebook (BenQ).
Mambo night... landed with a sickening thud.

it was so bloody dense if i were a terrorist i'd've sure as hell targeted zouk la! set off a small firecracker with a 1m blast radius and tomorrow's headlines- '100 killed, 16 injured'. oh dear. what if every subsequent night at zouk is like this. i will cry. but that aside, just being there. you know... soaking in the atmosphere. Bass, people, cigarettes, drinks, clothes, pretty faces. So fresh, baby, so clean.

okay... help me here. So is beer the nectar, or piss, of Gods? I'm thinking piss. But not in a bad way.

I was drinking a lychee martini and david looked at me and said- "Fuck lennard... only girls and gays drink that! so which one are you??"

"er. I could be either?"

today i've a lot to do... lessee... fix my bike, return some books, buy paint for my room (red and black, nice, yes?), buy CD racks for the wall, bulbs for the lights in my room*, hooks for some paintings. yikes. i hope i've enought 1) time 2) energy.

*most of the bulbs in my room have blown. so not at night i survive by the illumination of one dinky little bulb in the far side of my room. previously, it bathed in the glory of 5.

what is love, really?

in a calvni&hobbes strip, calvin poses the question- "Is love really just a biological chemical response to ensure the survival of the human race?" then again, if that were so, then everyone would feel 'love', but such isn't the case. and then there's different kinds of love. and within each subset, theres a whole spectrum of degrees of love. so its not just a chemical response, theres a deeper more intangible quality to it.

maybe love is an ideal. Like in ideal gases, it doesn't exist, but you assume it does to make calculations easier. so why bother when you'll never reach it? but i'd like to believe its real. call it childish but there's a fine line between living and existing and slap me if i cross that line.

so if there really is 'the one', how do you know 'the one' when you meet 'the one'? i don't think 'the one' is 1 specific person in the whole world with your name stamped on his/her ass. 'the one' is every lover you encounter. 'the one' is every person you love until something happens, and you discover a niggling habit you cannot stand, or worse still, you have no idea why, but suddenly, your heart no longer quickens when the person is near. you've been operationally de-conditioned to the person's allure.

and maybe, just maybe, a short break is whats needed for you to remember what you miss and love about the person.

or sometimes, during the break, life goes on as usual, thus confirming that unfortunately, the person is no longer 'the one', and its time to move on.

its as good for as long as it lasts, but is this as good as it gets? it cannot be!

maybe i'm just a stubborn bastard. or asshole as some would call it. and refuse to have my world shaken.

not just yet. its the righteous stuff i lack.

hey there lil' darlin's

i'm back
